Terminator Salvation

Cover based third person shooter based on the movie with same name developed for iOS released in 2009.

My role was to prototype the layout of the levels till the final stages of three missions, including encounters’ behavior tuning across these missions, scripting , dialogues,
cinematic cameras, sounds and effects.

Machine War

  • first mission of the game, including also the tutorial for moving, camera, shooting, cover system, minigame
  • the mission is placed at the destroyed rebel base in the desert
  • two enemies introduced – T600, seeker terminator
  • the mission features combat situations, avoiding traps (laser beams, sentry machine-gun), minigame, both outdoors and indoors

Rebirth

  • placed in the destroyed city of L.A.
  • two new enemies introduced: the hunter-killer tank and T620. If hunter killer is a armored vehicle terminator, T620 is a variation of the basic T600 but slower, dealing more damage and with less vulnerabilities
  • the level features many cover-based combat situations outdoors and indoors alternating open spaced arenas with corridor shooting, rail shooting, mines avoiding

Escape

  • the sequel of the Rebirth level, placed in the proximity of the Griffith Observatory
  • introducing one new enemy (drone terminator) and a boss fight (hunter-killer)
  • the level features cover-based combat in corridor fighting, traps avoidance, path choosing, rail shooting arena, puzzle solving and a boss fight
  • the hunter-killer fight mechanics consists of the aircraft releasing three seekers from time to time. The main target are the aircraft engines that should be shot at after eliminating each wave of seekers
